Summer Program for School Aged Children

MJMC coordinates a program for newcomer children ages 6-12 to provide additional language skills, orientation, life skills and peer interaction during the summer break. Pre-registration for this program is necessary.

Volunteer Interpreters and Translators

MJMC compiles a list of volunteers from the community that speak various languages. The list represents 24 countries and 28 languages. The list is circulated to emergency services and is available to the public upon request.

Newsletter

E-newsletter are produced to inform our members and the community about multicultural issues, cultural information, member group activities, immigration updates and community events. Happy Valley Park

Happy Valley Park is a City owned park which MJMC maintains for the benefit of the Moose Jaw community. Happy valley can be booked for local groups, family gatherings, reunions, birthday parties, and weddings. To book Happy Valley Park, please contact the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council at 693-4677.

Donations

MJMC always accepts donations of small household appliances, clothing for all ages, baby items, dishes, cutlery, linens, bicycles and ornaments. Items are given at no cost to newcomers clients that arrive in our community. Items must be gently used and in good working order. Monetary donations are graciously accepted and used for programs of the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council.
